Well, I was about to come on here and say that posting would be sporadic while I tried to get a handle on life… BUT!
As it happens to be November, and I happened to be reminded of it somewheres, I think I would like to try out NaBloPoMo or National Blog Posting Month (which seems to be a take on NaNoWriMo). So that’s at least one post a day for the whole month of November, even weekends. I am a firm believer that interesting things happen in structured creative challenges.
Why the 360? To be frank, I’ve been looking down the long, dark tunnel of postpartum depression for a little while now, and thought I just needed time to pull inward and focus on myself and my family. But a wonderful weekend of happy, energy-filled days helped clear my head and see that both creative projects and talking help me feel better. So here we are. See you tomorrow!
This is an excellent plan! My Google Reader looks forward to passing it along to me each day, and I look forward to reading!
This was, perhaps, a more reasonable goal than mine for getting into a habit of writing/creating, as I opted to go whole hog on the ‘No’ part of the NaNoWriMo thing, rather than focusing on the more attainable ‘Blo’ version you’ve come up with. I’m already a day behind, so this may not bode well.
[...] This post from my dear friend Kirsten reminded me that last year I successfully participated in NaNoBloPoMo–and so even though it’s already the second I’ll give it a go this year as well. Hi Kirsten! (And Emily and Kurt with whom I participated last year, a slightly drunken pinky-swear sealing the deal). [...]
Oh, the long dark tunnel of depression. I have been down that one … Hang in there!
